Canva is a graphic design software that’s beginner-friendly and used for creating a wide range of visual content like social media posts, posters, presentations, videos, and more. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started with **Canva software** (web or desktop version):

✅ Step 1: Sign Up or Log In

1. Go to [www.canva.com](https://www.canva.com) or open the **Canva app** (desktop or mobile).

2. **Sign up** using your email, Google, Facebook, or Apple account.

3. If you already have an account, just **log in**.

 ✅ Step 2: Choose What You Want to Create

* On the homepage, you'll see **search bar** and categories like:

  * Instagram Post

  * Poster

  * Presentation

  * Logo

  * Resume

  * Video

* Click on one to start designing, or search for a custom size using “**Custom size**”.

 ✅ Step 3: Use Templates (Optional but Helpful)

* Canva provides thousands of **ready-made templates**.

* Select one to use as a base, or start with a **blank canvas**.

 ✅ Step 4: Start Designing

Here are the **main tools on the left sidebar**:

1. **Elements**

* Shapes, lines, illustrations, icons, charts, etc.

2. **Text**

* Add headings, subheadings, and body text.

* Customize fonts, size, color, spacing.

3. **Uploads**

* Upload your own images, logos, or videos.

4. **Photos & Videos**

* Search Canva’s media library for stock images and videos.

5. **Background**

* Set solid colors, gradients, or image backgrounds.

6. **Apps** (for more features)

* Use AI tools, QR code generator, charts, mockups, etc.

✅ Step 5: Customize Your Design

* **Drag and drop** elements into place.

* Use the **toolbar** above the canvas to change colors, transparency, position, etc.

* Add **animations** or **transitions** if creating video or presentations.

✅ Step 6: Save & Download

1. Click the **Share** or **Download** button (top right).

2. Choose file format: PNG, JPG, PDF, MP4, GIF, etc.

3. Click **Download**.

* You can **share a link**, post directly to social media, or order prints via Canva.
